Seeking a Sr. Network Engineer for our network Cloud Infrastructure Services team. The best candidate for this position would be a self-motivated individual who has a strong attention to detail and preferably prior experience with large scale LAN/WAN network infrastructure, network management servers, and operation and sustainment of network capabilities. They must be able to work independently as well as part of a team, and be able to identify support gaps, and work pro-actively to get tasks done.

Looking for a candidate that has experience as a systems administrator for a large Hadoop and Accumulo based clusters and a strong background in troubleshooting operational system issues as they arise. A Cloud Administrator certification is required.

Candidate will be part of a two-person Hardware/System Administration team responsible for the day-to-day operation of two large legacy Oracle/Solaris-based mission-critical systems. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: (1) monitor system health, (2) troubleshoot system problems, (3) maintain storage systems, (4) interface with external teams for hardware, network, and infrastructure support, (5) provide after-hours on-call/call-in support, (6) ensure system security requirements are satisfied, (7) participate in engineering discussions, (8) create/maintain system scripts, (9) patch/upgrade system, (10) administer user accounts, (11) maintain hardware inventory, and (12) obtain quotes for service contracts.
